On Tuesday night, Blairsville Borough Council decided to readvertise a proposed ordinance concerning vacant commercial buildings.
The ordinance was originally put out for advertisement last month. Council President John Bertolino said that they wanted to make a modification concerning the fines that violators would face.
He added that the readvertisement is being done out of an abundance of caution, as they do not want anyone to challenge the ordinance down the road due to changes made between the advertisement and the final adoption. The new ordinance will go before the council for final approval in October.
