Three people were charged in connection with an incident that took place September 3 in Indiana Borough that left one person injured.
Police say an unnamed girl attempted to get out of a car driven by 18-year-old Ian Joel Cabo of Johnstown while it was stopped at the intersection of 7th and Philadelphia Streets shortly after 2 AM, but he drove forward, injuring her as she was pulled underneath a rear tire. Cabo later fled the scene while two passengers rendered aid. The following morning, Cabo denied his involvement to police and provided false ID.
Officers add that 18-year-old Alana Tucker-Williams and an unnamed 17-year-old girl, both of Johnstown, provided false ID while they were on-scene.
All three were charged with providing false ID to law enforcement, while Cabo faces additional charges of accidents involving death or personal injury, driving without a license, and failure to render aid. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
The injured girl is recovering at an undisclosed location and the extent of her injuries is unknown. Indiana Borough Police was assisted by Citizens’ Ambulance Service, West Hills Regional Police, Cambria County detectives, Johnstown Police, and the Indiana County District Attorney’s Office.
