Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman, Jr. announced that one person died in a motorcycle crash that happened yesterday in Buffington Township.
26-year-old Steven Paul McCloskey was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash along Route 403 South at the intersection with Shultz Road at 2:45 PM. McCloskey was riding his motorcycle North on 403 when a Honda CRV came ahead from the South from Camerons Road onto Shultz. The car collided with the left side of the motorcycle.
The manner of death was ruled accidental. The exact cause is pending the results of an upcoming autopsy. McCloskey was wearing a helmet at the time. Vintondale and Brush Valley fire departments assisted State Police and Citizens Ambulance on the scene, with the Homer City fire department called in to stand by for Brush Valley.
