The Marion Center Fire Department has announced the receipt of grant funding to help purchase breathing apparatus.
In a statement on the department’s Facebook page, the department received money from the Indiana County Endowment grant program that will allow the department to purchase new air cylinders for their Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus. The cylinders must be replaced every 15 years as part of the rules from the National Fire Protection Association, and the upcoming purchase of new cylinders will keep the fire department in compliance for the next 15 years.
