UPDATE: Marion Center Fire Department reported that Shelia Rowley was found safe this morning around 6:50 AM. The fire department and state police wanted to thank all the agencies who were part of the search effort, along with the public and members of the media who helped with the search.

Search efforts are expected to continue this morning for a Marion Center woman who went missing.

State police announced that 60-year-old Shelia M. Rowley was last seen walking away from her home along the 9000 block of Route 119 North in Marion Center on Wednesday and has not returned home or been seen since. Marion Center Fire Department said on its Facebook page that they were joined by state troopers, Firefighters from Creekside and Clymer, the Greensburg Fire Department K-9 unit, State Police Drone team and the Indiana County Emergency Management Agency. Crews covered five square miles over eight hours, but the search efforts were unsuccessful and the search was called off around 1:00 this morning. The search will resume at 7 AM.
State police described Rowley as a white woman, five feet six inches tall and weighing 155 pounds with blue eyes and shoulder-length gray hair. She was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and black leggings with a flower print.
Anyone who has seen her or has information on her whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
