Indiana Borough Police have more information on a fire at a student rental duplex earlier this week.
The fire was reported at 1:57 AM in the 300 block of South 6th Street in the borough. Indiana Fire Association, the police department and the RIT team were dispatched after a neighbor noticed a smoke alarm going off in the duplex. No injuries were reported and damage from the fire itself was minimal. The fire was discovered in a first-floor bathroom.
Indiana Borough Police Detectives and the State Police Fire Marshals are investigating what may have caused the fire, and it was reported that someone trespassed inside the house during the incident.
