Officials from both Indiana and Cambria counties are investigating an incident after a body was discovered in East Wheatfield Township Friday morning.
Indiana County District Attorney Robert Manzi said a body was found on the side of Route 403 yesterday morning, approximately 100 feet from the border shared with Cambria County. Officials are unsure if the person was killed and left in Indiana County, or if they were killed in Cambria County then left at the aforementioned area. Manzi adds that officials from both counties are working together to investigate the situation and more details are expected to be released soon.
Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman Jr. said more details on the person will be released pending next-of-kin notification.
Assisting the county DA and coroner’s offices are members of the Pennsylvania State Police, Cambria County District Attorney Greg Neugebauer, and the Johnstown Police Department.
