With fireworks coming up in Indiana on Tuesday, parking is going to be an issue whether it is parking to go into Mack Park or tailgating to watch the fireworks outside the park, and both IUP and Indiana Regional Medical Center have released announcements on where you can and can’t park when it comes to their properties.
IUP announced that parking access will not be restricted to the Wayne Avenue, Stadium South and Stadium North parking lots, but access around the KCAC will be restricted to the south campus parking lots near the baseball and softball fields, and no parking will be allowed at the KCAC’s VIP parking lot in front of the facility. University Drive on South Campus will also be temporarily closed that day from 7:30 to 11 PM. No IUP facilities will be open or available for access, and lot usage should only be used for parking only. No grilling, tents or long-term gatherings are allowed. Also all regulations for reserved spaces will be strictly enforced.
IRMC has also announced that while there will be plenty of parking opportunities available, people cannot park or watch the fireworks from IRMC property, including any affiliated buildings and parking lots.
