Along with the vehicle accident reported in Homer City, Indiana County’s first responders were busy on Friday with multiple calls.
There were two reports of utility lines down yesterday. At 3:00 PM, Creekside fire department was dispatched to the area of Route 110 and Blue Spruce Road for lines down. The other call was at 5:31 PM on Spruce Hollow Road in Buffington Township. Brush Valley fire department was called to the scene.
Indiana fire association was called out for an automatic fire alarm activation along Edgewood Avenue at 6:28 PM.
Homer City fire department was dispatched for a ventilation effort at the Komatsu Mining offices on Lucerne Road at 6:57 PM. And a vehicle accident was also reported in Green Township on Route 580 at 7:07 PM. Commodore fire department, Veterans EMS and State Police were dispatched at the time. No details are available on that accident.
Few details are available on a fire that was reported in Nanty-Glo around 2:30 this morning. The fire was reported in the kitchen of a single-family dwelling at 1206 Roberts Street.
