On Monday night, the Purchase Line School Board welcomed the new superintendent to her first school board meeting.
New superintendent Patricia Berezansky said during the meeting that she was thankful to Dave London, the acting superintendent, who helped her through the transition process. She also talked about what she is looking forward to as Superintendent.
In other business, the school board approved the 2023-24 school year budget. The budget will balance at $21,493,532 with the district using a combination of $256,423 in fund balance money and property tax increases to 8.92 mils for Indiana County residents and 76.25 mils for Clearfield County residents. The board also approved changes to the teacher’s handbooks for elementary and high school teachers.
