An Indiana County woman was injured in a crash Monday afternoon in Greensburg, Westmoreland County.
State police from the Greensburg barracks say a cruiser driven by Trooper Daniel T. Grabowski was driving east along East Pittsburgh Street when they were hit by a car, driven by 24-year-old William J. Carter, as they tried to exit the parking lot of a nearby Rite Aid pharmacy. Carter’s passenger, 21-year-old Ariah Alabran of Home, suffered suspected minor injuries as a result of the crash and was taken to Westmoreland Regional Hospital for treatment. Carter and Grabowski were not injured.
Both cars sustained disabling damage and required towing from the scene. Police used the recording from the cruiser’s mobile video camera as evidence and charged Carter with a summary traffic violation.
