An Indiana woman charged in connection with a drug overdose death last October is due in court this afternoon for a preliminary hearing.
Court documents say 41-year-old Heidi Millar will have her hearing before Magisterial Judge Guy Haberl at 2 o’clock this afternoon to answer for charges of drug delivery resulting in death and delivery of a controlled substance. On October 18th of last year, Indiana Borough Police officers were dispatched to a home in the 800 block of Oak Street for a reported drug overdose and found the victim, identified only as a 26-year-old woman, in cardiac arrest. Despite lifesaving efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Through an investigation, detectives discovered Millar had sold Fentanyl and crack Cocaine to the victim prior to their death.
This will be the third attempt at a preliminary hearing for Millar. The first two were scheduled for April 11th and 27th, with the latter continued to today. Millar was lodged in Indiana County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.
