UPDATE: Police have located both the suspect vehicle and the driver in this case. The investigation is ongoing and more information on the case will be released tomorrow.
WHAT WAS PREVIOUSLY REPORTED
Blairsville Borough Police are investigating a hit-and-run that happened Thursday evening.
Police say shortly after six o’clock, a white Chevrolet pickup truck was driving along the 300 block of East Chestnut Street when it hit a parked Subaru Imprezza on the driver’s side, causing significant damage. The truck then backed down East Chestnut and drove through a nearby yard at a high rate of speed before fleeing the scene down Lear Road.
The truck is said to have damage on its front passenger side, along with black paint from the Subaru. It also did not have a tailgate.
The crash was recorded on a neighbor’s Ring camera. Footage and a photo can be found below.
