Construction crews are still working on what will be Pennsylvania’s tallest cross at Hilltop Baptist Church.
Crews started to piece together the projected 108-foot cross around 7:30 this morning. Once it’s finished, it will be visible from different areas around the county, including Routes 422 and 119.

Pastor Jack Lucas said the inspiration for the cross came while he was on a trip in Kentucky.
Lucas adds that the cross was funded through monetary and physical donations, and was built through volunteerism among the congregation.
Church member Carson Greene said the cross will be a great addition to Hilltop.
The cross is expected to be up by the early afternoon, with finishing touches coming next week.
