Preliminary budget numbers were approved by the Purchase Line School Board on Monday night, but the board is still considering how to fill a deficit in the budget.
Expenditures for the 2023-24 budget came to $21,487,257 and revenues came to $21,084,837. Acting Superintendent Dave London said that the board has asked the administration to prepare two solutions.
The board will make a final decision on the budget at their voting meeting on June 19th.
In other business, the board approved a resolution that authorized the administration to write and submit the necessary applications for several state and federal programs, including a PA Commission on Crime and Delinquency mental health, safety and security grant; the Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts grant and others. The board also approved two dual-credit agreements with Pennsylvania Highlands Community College and with Saint Francis University.
