A new community garden will have a ribbon cutting ceremony this afternoon.
The Homer-Center Parks and Recreation Association will hold a ribbon cutting today for the new community garden this afternoon at Homer City’s In-Town park. President of Homer-Center Parks and Rec Aaron Lehman said that he was inspired to start the community garden as he learned of issues of food insecurity, and it turned into the community garden learning center after talking with other avid gardeners.
Kelly Elliott said that they wanted to focus on inclusivity at the garden and learning center.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held today from 4-6.
