The River Valley Panthers and Homer-Center Wildcats won their PIAA girls’ quarterfinal playoff games in dominating fashion Friday night and will be playing in the semifinals on Monday night.
Homer-Center easily handled Sacred Heart, 51-15, in the 2A quarterfinals at Mifflin County High School in Lewistown.

In the 3A girls’ quarterfinals, River Valley trounced Shady Side Academy, 54-21, at Armstrong High School.
Panthers coach Ricc Brown was pleased with the performances by his starters.
Homer-Center and River Valley move into the Final Four in their respective classifications. Homer-Center will play District 2 champion Monstrose on Monday night, while River Valley will play Our Lady of Sacred Heart, the No. 5 seed from District 7. Both games will be at venues and times to be announced.
