The month of February turned out to be a history-making month as far as snowfall totals go.
The weather station at Pennsylvania-American Water Company’s Two Lick Filter Plant reported that only 1.5 inches of snow fell in the Month of February, which is one of the lowest February snowfall totals in history. Accuweather Meteorologist Joe Lundberg said that this was common across Pennsylvania, and the reason why February’s snowfall total was low was because of how the storm track went over the month.
Lundberg said that prior to February, snowfall totals have been robust, so at least in the short-term, drought is not a concern.
And while March is coming in like a lamb today, rain and possible snow is predicted later this week.
