After over a year of discussion and work, the White Township Supervisors Wednesday night approved revisions to the current dangerous structure ordinance.
The idea for the modifications first came up after a child died drowning in an abandoned pool in July of 2021. Township Manager Chris Anderson talked about the revisions to the ordinance.
In other business, the supervisors were updated on a traffic study done at the intersection of North 6th, North 9th and Fulton Run Road in the Chevy Chase area. White Township was requested to ask PennDOT to perform the study by Senator Joe Pittman’s office. Anderson detailed some of the traffic mitigation efforts that will be put in place.
Finally, the supervisors approved a resolution for a plan revision at the Indiana Regional Medical Center Main Campus for the new mental health facility. This was a requirement to approve their 40 proposed sewer taps. The resolution will be added to a packet of information that will be submitted to the PA Department of Environmental Protection so they can approve the site’s sewer plan.
