First responders in northern Indiana County were busy this morning with a vehicle crash on Route 119.
The accident was reported at 3:24 this morning along a portion of 119 in North Mahoning Township. Marion Center Fire Department, State Police and Punxsutawney EMS were dispatched to the scene. Marion Center fire chief Gavin Misko said that a Tri-axle truck collided with a pick-up truck head-on. Officials also said the roads were very icy, and they also had to deal with backed-up traffic inhibiting the efforts of PennDOT to salt the road around the accident scene to make things safer.
One of the drivers was injured in the crash. That person had minor injuries. The road was closed for about three hours.
