At a meeting on Tuesday night, the White Township Planning Commission gave conditional approval for Indiana Regional Medical Center’s new Behavioral Health facility.
The new 33,000 square foot facility will be located on IRMC’s main campus. IRMC’s Chief Growth Officer Mark Richards gave a brief overview of what the new facility will provide.
One of the issues that needed to be addressed before the final site plan was approved was the issue of a lack of parking. Township manager Chris Anderson explained how the problem was solved.
Final approval will be granted following approval of two stormwater facilities that are under review and approval of the storm sewer plan.
In other business, the planning commission approved a free-standing structure for Hilltop Baptist Church. The board approved a 60 feet wide by 100 feet tall cross for the church property.
