Those going through the intersection of 4th and Philadelphia Street may notice that the traffic light there is blinking red. Indiana Borough officials are reminding everyone to approach that intersection with caution.
Indiana Borough Police Chief Justin Schawl said that the light has an electronic malfunction due to a vehicle accident that happened on Wednesday. Since then, the light has been blinking red and crews are working to try to get the light fixed. Borough officials anticipate that the light will remain “out” through the weekend and into next week.
Drivers are reminded to treat a blinking red light at a traffic signal as a four-way stop, and they ask that motorists should remain cautious while going through the area until the issue is fixed.
