A man from Clune was arrested after leading state troopers on a chase over the weekend in Burrell Township.
Troopers say they attempted to conduct a traffic stop along Route 119 South around 11:25 p.m. on Friday but the driver, later identified as 38-year-old Joseph Wissinger, allegedly failed to stop for the emergency lights and sirens and attempted to flee. Wissinger then drove on multiple roadways before his vehicle malfunctioned along Newport Road.
Wissinger was arrested and taken to Indiana County Jail. He was charged with Fleeing and Eluding, DUI, Drug Possession, Resisting Arrest, and several summary vehicle code violations.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for November 14th at 1:15 p.m. in front of District Judge Christopher Welch.
