After some strong rainfall in the mid-day, the Indiana County Fair continued with two Tuesday night traditions: marching band night and the finale to the Kiss-A-Pig fundraiser.
The fundraiser is an annual event to help the Evergreen After School Program in Indiana County in which local dignitaries and celebrities raise money for the club, with the person who raises the most being asked to kiss a pig in front of a crowd gathered at the Grandstand.

This year’s “winner” was Corey Smith of First Commonwealth Bank, who raised $11,200. Senator Joe Pittman was second with $10,000 raised. Third was Maddie Sabo of S&T Bank and fourth was David Janusek, Blairsville Borough Councilman. The real winner, though was the After-School program as more than $31,000 was raised.
Meanwhile, the Indiana County Fair continues today. Today’s events include sheep and goat shows, the 4-H Rabbit Show and the Lead Line contest. C&L Carnival attractions will start at 4 PM. The feature attraction at the Grandstand tonight is the ATV drag races. Registration starts at 4:00 PM and the races start at 7:00.
Admission is $8 after 2:00 PM today, with ride passes for C&L costing extra. For more information, you can log on to www.indianacountyfair.com
