The County’s Covid-19 numbers were discussed during this morning’s Indiana County Commissioners meeting.
County Emergency Management Director Tom Stutzman said that the numbers are going up, and that Indiana County is out of the lower levels when it comes to the CDC’s community rating.
Stutzman did say that there were no new covid-related deaths, and while the Indiana Regional Medical Center had some Covid cases in the ICU, none of those cases required ventilators.
In other business, the Commissioners approved a change order connected with the demolition phase of the new ICCAP food bank with LMJ Contractors. An additional $1,875 was authorized for the contractor can remove all existing metal duct work in the warehouse facility. The revised contract now comes to $50,575.
The commissioners also declared September as International Underground Railroad Month and National Suicide Awareness Month in the county, and the week of September 4th to the 10th as National Suicide Prevention Week.
