Indiana Borough Police report four incidents from over the weekend.
Officers say the first incident happened at 2:39 Saturday morning in the 300 block of South 4th St. after they encountered a man walking in the middle of the street. The man, identified as 28-year-old Vance Lee Sykes of Indiana, was found to be under the influence of alcohol to the point where he was a danger to himself.
The next incident happened just after midnight Sunday morning after Indiana Borough officers were dispatched to 380 Philadelphia St. for reports of an intoxicated man. Officers say they found 39-year-old William Thomas Moss of Hollsopple under the influence of alcohol to the point where he was a danger to himself and others.
Both men were taken to Indiana County Jail and issued non-traffic citations for public drunkenness.
Officers were then dispatched to the 300 block of Philadelphia St. shortly before 6 a.m. for reports of a man who was passed out in the area. Police identified the man as 22-year-old Brayden James Lorelli of Indiana. He was arrested and cited for public drunkenness.
The final incident happened shortly before 4:30 Sunday afternoon and it saw officers dispatched to the 1100 block of Philadelphia Street for reports of an intoxicated man at a restaurant. Upon arrival, police found that 28-year-old Brett Skuta of Indiana was responsible for the incident.
Police say Skuta was severely under the influence of alcohol and reportedly threatened to strike an employee at the restaurant. He was taken into custody and transported to IRMC for medical clearance; however, officers say he became belligerent and shouted profanity, disrupting the ER. He then resisted officers while at the hospital.
A criminal complaint of Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct and Public Drunkenness were filed through Magisterial Judge Guy Haberl’s office.
