A Clarksburg man charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property was sentenced yesterday in Indiana County Court. A probation revocation hearing for a 2019 case was also held for the same man.
Judge Michael T. Clark sentenced 36-year-old Jacob Shane Penrose to serve in Indiana County Jail for two months to two years less than one day for the case from last October, and he will also serve six months to two years less than one day for fleeing police in 2019, graded a third-degree felony.
Penrose served consecutive terms in jail and was placed on probation upon his release, but it was revoked after he was charged in the vehicle case.
Also sentenced in Indiana County Court yesterday was 28-year-old Harley Kenneth Donavon Christ of Lakeland, Florida, who will serve eight months to two years less than one day for one count of statutory sexual assault, labeled a second-degree felony. Christ will also serve four years of probation.
33-year-old Zackary Shawn Edward Wendel was also sentenced to serve six months to two years less than one day for a second-degree felony charge of corruption of minors for an incident dating back to March 17, 2013.
