Pennsylvania State Police in Indiana released more details regarding a pair of motor vehicle accidents that happened yesterday.
Public Information Officer Trooper Cliff Greenfield says that one person was injured in a single-car crash that happened shortly before 6 p.m. yesterday in Burrell Township. Greenfield said that a car, operated by 58-year-old Joseph Henigin of Blairsville, was travelling north on State Route 217 and, while navigating a left turn, drove across the left shoulder and hit a home along Lear Road.
Henigin was flown to UPMC Altoona for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Residents inside the home were uninjured.
A two-vehicle crash was also reported yesterday to Indiana County 9-1-1 around 4:08 p.m.
Greenfield said one car crossed the center line and side-swiped an on-coming vehicle. Minor injuries were reported in the crash, however, state police have not released a report on this crash yet.
