With a lineup loaded with five rookies, the Pirates endured a rain delay and then took a loss to the Detroit Tigers last night.

The brief series concludes today at PNC Park. it’s a 12:10 airtime on WCCS. Mitch Keller (2-5, 5.77 ERA) pitches for the Pirates against Detroit’s Alex Faedo (1-2, 3.09 ERA).
The Pirates called up left-handed reliever Aaron Fletcher from Indianapolis to replace lefty Dillon Peters, who was placed on the 15-day injured list on Sunday night with back spasms.
ALTOONA CURVE
Altoona was rained out in Reading last night. They’ll play a doubleheader today, with Mike Burrows and Omar Cruz starting for the Curve.
The Pirates made a number of moves involving the Curve roster yesterday, including announcing that catcher Henry Davis has begun a rehab assignment with the Florida Coast League Pirates. Left-handed pitchers Joe Jacques and Nick Dombkowski were assigned to the Curve and right-hander Aaron Shortridge began a rehab assignment with Bradenton.
