THEFT
Indiana Borough Police recently released more information regarding an incident of theft dating back to May 4. Officers say they were dispatched to a business along the 00 block of North 2nd St. for a report of theft, and upon investigation, learned that 34-year-old Joshua Burgess of Indiana removed a vehicle from an auto body shop during the night and did so without paying $5,000 for completed repairs.
An arrest warrant was issued by Magisterial Judge Guy Haberl, charging Burgess with felony Theft of Services. Anyone with information on Burgess’ current location should call Indiana Borough Police at 724-349-2121.
SIMPLE ASSAULT/HARASSMENT
Indiana Borough Police also report an incident of simple assault and harassment from Monday morning. According to reports, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of North 3rd St. shortly after 1 a.m. for a domestic dispute and found that 29-year-old Evan Taylor of Indiana had assaulted his partner.
Taylor was taken into custody without incident per the Domestic Violence Act and was, then, taken to Indiana County Jail, where he was held for arraignment by District Judge Robert Bell.
A criminal complaint was filed through Judge Bell’s office.
