The number of brush fires in Indiana County this year so far is now up to 20 with a brush fire that was reported on Monday.
Glen Campbell firefighters were dispatched to a property on Route 286 East in Montgomery Township at 8:28 PM. No details have been provided yet on how the fire started or how much property was damaged.
It was part of a busy afternoon in Indiana County for first responders. Homer City Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched for an automatic fire alarm activation on Lucerne Road in Center Township at 4:31 PM. Indiana Fire Association was called out for a report of utility lines down on Hospital Road in White Township at 5:09 PM. And at 8:30 PM last night, the Creekside Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched for a gas leak on Five Points Road in Armstrong Township.
