Jury selection is scheduled for today for two trials in Indiana County Court.
One of those cases is a case of rape from 2020. Police have charged 24-year-old Austin Nuccetelli of Baden in Beaver County with rape of an unconscious victim. The investigation into this case started in October of 2020. While jury selection will be held before President Judge Thomas Bianco, the case will be tried by Judge Michael Clark.
The other trial is for a woman charged with aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence and other crimes for an incident in February of 2020. The crash happened on February 18th at 5:04 PM in the area of North 6th Street and Clark Avenue in Indiana Borough. Police at the time said that 38-year-old Kristen Previte of Indiana sideswiped a northbound Chevy Equinox before colliding with a GMC Yukon head-on. She and her passenger were trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by Indiana Firefighters. Along with the aggravated assault charge, she also faces four summary vehicle charges and two counts of DUI-controlled substance.
