Indiana Borough Police have charged an Indiana man with accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle or property after a hit-and-run collision early Saturday at the intersection of Philadelphia and 6th streets.
Police say 30-year-old Alex Hinesly fled the scene southbound on South 6th Street after colliding with another vehicle at 1:22 AM. His car was located the next day and he was identified and charged by criminal complaint. A preliminary hearing is pending.
Borough police have charged 38-year-old Gordon Gregory of Indiana with simple assault and harassment after they were dispatched early Sunday to the IRMC emergency room. Police say Gregory assaulted his domestic partner. He was taken to the Indiana County Jail to await arraignment before District Judge Chris Welch. Bond of $10,000 was posted yesterday.
43-year-old Leverne Shelstad III of Marion Center is charged with summary harassment following a disturbance early Sunday in the 400 block of Grandview Avenue in Indiana. Borough police say he had a physical altercation with a female at 3:09 AM.
30-year-old Travis Kendrick of Indiana is charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after being found Friday night in the 600 block of Philadelphia Street “causing a public inconvenience and annoyance”, according to police.
