A motions hearing is scheduled for today for a Blairsville man charged with endangering the welfare of children.
Court documents show that 29-year-old Quamir Mathis of Blairsville will have the hearing before Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco today for a motion to quash information and/or petition for a writ of habeas corpus connected with an investigation on February 27th of 2020. Indiana Borough Police at the time said he and Amber Bailey allegedly beat two children under the age of four with a belt and left the children alone inside their apartment on multiple occasions.
Mathis faces two counts each of simple assault and two counts of child endangerment connected with a nine-month investigation.
