The River Valley School Board is scheduled to meet tonight, and on the proposed agenda is the hiring of the new assistant superintendent.
The board will look to approve hiring Holly Rougeaux as the full assistant superintendent. Rougeaux has served the district recently as the assistant to the superintendent for curriculum. Before that, she was a principal in the Homer-Center School District, a vice-principal in the Indiana Area School District and an assistant dean at IUP. If approved tonight, Rougeaux’s contract would begin immediately and would run for five years.
The board will also look at adopting a contract with Remington and Vernick Engineers for a feasibility study. The contract will not exceed $37,440. The board would also look to approve the schedule of meetings for 2022. Regular board meetings would remain on the fourth Tuesday of the month, with the exception of December’s meeting, which would be the reorganization meeting for the district on December 6th. All meetings are scheduled to be held in the River Valley High School Auditorium.
Tonight’s meeting starts at 7:00 at the River Valley Media Center at River Valley High School.
