On last night’s basketball debut of Hawk Talk on U92, IUP men’s coach Joe Lombardi talked with Jack Benedict about the Crimson Hawks’ 4-0 start, winning on the road at Bowie State last Friday night, and the potential he sees in his high-scoring team.
He also talked about this weekend’s action in the IUP Thanksgiving Classic, which will be played at the KCAC on Saturday and Sunday.
IUP will play Virginia State on Saturday afternoon. The Trojans are 3-1 and coming off a 105-90 loss to Barton College. Lombardi says they are a step up in competition for IUP.
IUP will play Salem on Sunday. The IUP women will play a Thanksgiving Eve game tomorrow against Salem, at 3:30 at the KCAC.
