Indiana Borough Police filed charges of simple assault and related crimes for an incident reported on October 1st.
Police say that at 10:40 that night, police pulled over a vehicle after seeing it drive erratically through the borough. The driver, 21-year-old Jeffrey Cole Laney of Lebanon, got out of the vehicle and pushed a uniformed officer on scene. Officers were able to take Laney into custody. On top of the simple assault charge, he was charged in a criminal complaint through District Judge Guy Haberl’s office with resisting arrest, harassment and related traffic offenses.
