Yesterday’s court schedule was packed with criminal call hearings, which update the courts and participants on the progress of cases. Several of those defendants yesterday were sentenced.
Many of the cases were for drug possession, but there were a few cases where other crimes were involved. One of those was for 67-year-old Kim Ward of Indiana. Police charged him with criminal trespass and public trespass for an incident on May 31st. He entered a guilty plea to a charge of Criminal Trespass yesterday and was ordered by Judge Michael Clark to serve one year of probation and to pay associated fines and court costs.
Also sentenced yesterday was 34-year-old Brian Kutsch of Blairsville, who pleaded guilty to a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. A charge of receiving stolen property was not prosecuted. He was also placed on probation for a year.
