A fire at a nursing home in Armstrong County has brought out multiple fire departments from Armstrong and Indiana Counties this morning
Reports say that Armstrong county fire crews were called out for a structure fire at Brookview Country Manor nursing home on Barks Hill Road in Plumcreek Township. Plumville fire department was called in to help at the scene at 3:04 AM, and Creekside Fire Department was called in at 3:20. Coal Run and Marion Center fire departments would later be called in to assist at the scene. Further reports say that all the residents and staff were able to get out safely. The fire, as of right now, is not yet under control. The building itself is completely destroyed.
No word yet on the cause of the fire
This was just one of several incidents over the last 24 hours that kept emergency crews busy.
On Friday, Blairsville and Black Lick firefighters were dispatched for a lines down call on Hill Road in Black Lick Township.
At 8:15 PM, Indiana Fire Association, Citizens’ Ambulance and State Police were dispatched for a reported vehicle accident on Sleepy Hollow Road in Rayne Township. And a vehicle fire was reported at 9:06 PM on Johnstons Road in Black Lick Township, with Aultman and Black Lick firefighters dispatched at the time.
