A man who was on the State Police’s “Five Most Wanted List” will be sentenced today in Indiana County Court.
Court documents say 25-year-old Ryan Charles Kreisher of Willow Grove is scheduled for a sentencing hearing at 9:30 this morning in front of Indiana County President Judge Tom Bianco. He pleaded guilty in May of this year to a charge of theft by unlawful taking that was connected with an incident on June 1st of 2019. The other charges he was facing; which included a second count of theft by unlawful taking, two counts of receiving stolen property and a sole count of forgery, were not prosecuted. Kreisher had been on the list since January of last year.
Also due in court today is a woman accused of assaulting state troopers as she was being taken into custody. Police accused 57-year-old Carmen Tyger of Home Station with aggravated assault with attempt to cause serious bodily injury, simple assault, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct-engaging in fighting for an incident on February 22nd of last year. At the time, she was being treated for medical issues and it was determined that she needed to go to the hospital. That’s when she became combative with first responders and flailed her arms as she tried to break free from the stretcher. Troopers tried to get her under control but she was able to kick an officer in the leg, breaking his shin. She was taken to IRMC for evaluation.
She is scheduled to enter a plea before Judge Thomas Bianco this morning.
