The White Township Supervisors announced this morning that a few roads near Chevy Chase Heights will be closed this Thursday for construction projects.
Supervisors said in a news release that Marion Road and between Sunset Road and Elkin Ave. will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Thursday as construction crews are scheduled to install stormwater crossover pipes in the area. They add that this not being funded by PennDOT’s Green Light Go grant money and that it is a separate project.
Signs will be posted during construction in order to alert drivers to this travel restriction. Supervisors say that no detours will be set up and local traffic will be allowed through, but thru traffic will not be possible during the construction period.
In the event of inclement weather, the work will be rescheduled for the following work day.
