At a special meeting on Tuesday night, the Homer-Center School Board approved the district’s health and safety plan.
The plan had one addendum to it: The fact that the district would continue to monitor the CDC guidelines for masking or other Covid-19 mitigation efforts. Superintendent Curtis Whitesel said that the plan could change as conditions change.
For the start of the school year, students will not be required to wear masks unless they want to. The exception is on the school bus. That rule comes from the federal government.
