An East Pittsburgh man accused of raping a woman on IUP’s campus in 2017 was sentenced to serve jail time yesterday in Indiana County Court.
According to court documents, 22-year-old Donte Robinson-Vearnon will serve six months to two years less than one day in Indiana County Jail for second-degree felony charges of intimidation of a witness or victim, which he entered a guilty plea for in on May 11. The plea agreement entered by Robinson-Vearnon allowed a conviction on felony charges without having the victim testify in court, according to Indiana County District Attorney Robert Manzi.
As mentioned in our previous report, charges of aggravated indecent assault and raping an unconscious person were disposed of at a lower court.
Also sentenced yesterday in Indiana County Court was 24-year-old Bradley Armahizer who was sentenced in a parole revocation hearing in front of Senior Judge William Martin.
Armahizer was charged with two third-degree felonies of receiving stolen property, one third-degree felony of theft by unlawful taking, and one third-degree misdemeanor of criminal mischief.
He was sentenced to serve one month to two years in Indiana County Jail, along with paying costs and fines, for all charges.
