The Northern Cambria Boys and the Saltsburg Girls Track & Field teams were crowned 2021 Heritage Conference Champions on Wednesday after picking up victories in each of their meets.

BASEBALL
MARION CENTER – 7, UNITED – 5
Skylar Olp picked up three hits, including a triple, to help the Stingers take down United, 7-5. He would be helped by Ty Ryen, Landin Bennett and Dakota Bracken, who each picked up a hit and an RBI.
On the mound, Ryen picked up the win after striking out 10 hitters over 5.2 innings pitched. Gavin Palko allowed just one hit in relief.
For United, Wade Plowman and Bradley Felix tallied two hits and an RBI.
WEST SHAMOKIN – 14, PENNS MANOR – 2 (5)
West Shamokin put up five runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to seal a mercy rule victory over Penns Manor.
Niko Buffone drove in four runs in the game while Bo Swartz and Kamden Eddy collected two hits each. Buffone would throw all five innings for the Wolves and allowed just four hits and two unearned runs.
No individual stats have been reported for Penns Manor.
NORTHERN CAMBRIA – 19, PURCHASE LINE – 4 (4)
The Colts came out firing from the opening pitch as they scored eight runs in the first and held the Red Dragons to two. From there, they would add four more in the second, two in the third, and the final five in the fourth inning to seal the early win.
Zander Bennett drove in two runs for Purchase Line while Austin Chambers collected a hit and an RBI.
No individual stats have been reported for Northern Cambria.
SOFTBALL
MARION CENTER – 8, UNITED – 3
Jaelyn Lichtenfels and Abigail McConnville would provide the run support off two home runs in a 8-3 loss to Marion Center on Wednesday. United was held scoreless throughout the first five frames, while the Stingers combined for five runs in the third and fourth innings.
No individual stats have been reported for Marion Center.
WEST SHAMOKIN – 19, PENNS MANOR – 9
Lily Jordan kicked off a productive outing for the West Shamokin Wolves with her first career home run on Wednesday. Lexie Young would help out on both sides as she hit a three-run home run later in the game while taking care of the Comets on the mound.
For Penns Manor, Kassidy Smith had another formidable performance after going 3-for-4 with four RBIs in the game.
NORTHERN CAMBRIA – 10, PURCHASE LINE – 0
Both teams held a scoreless tie heading into the fifth inning, but Northern Cambria’s offense jolted for four runs in the top half of the inning while adding six in the final two innings to seal a 10-0 win.
Jessica Krug went 3-for-5 with a pair of RBIs and two stolen bases on offense, while limiting the Red Dragons to one hit on the mound. She would also add 10 strikeouts on the afternoon.
Breana Churan also had a multi-hit performance. She would go 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
No individual stats have been reported for Purchase Line.
