The Indiana Area School Board will meet tonight, with an agenda which was already lengthy before the fire at the Eisenhower Elementary School, and which will have even more discussion items now.
The Audit & Finance Committee will meet before the board as a whole, and its agenda includes an update on Eisenhower as well as budget discussions, both for the school district and for ICTC, and the artificial turf at Andy Kuzneski Field.
The agenda for the board as a whole includes the list of graduating seniors; the summer school and summer camp programs; a number of personnel and professional services items; the replacement of the turf at the stadium at a cost of $375,000; and the relocation of a fence on one side of the turf and proposals to either replace or repair the padding at the stadium.
The board will also consider the ICTC budget, and entertain motions to accept donations from a number of individuals for the Ben Franklin outdoor Learning Space.
Also listed on the agenda is the acceptance of donations to the Eisenhower Elementary teachers for classroom supplies from the Blairsville-Saltsburg Education Association, the Central West Region of the Pennsylvania State Education Association, and from the United Way of Indiana County.
The meeting will be available virtually, or in person at the Junior High School’s LGI Room.
The Marion Center School Board will meet tonight and will vote on the ICTC budget. The district’s share will be $691,926, which is down more than $9,000 from the current school year.
Also up for consideration of the board will be the purchase of two dishwashers, one for each kitchen, at a total cost of more than $51,000.
The board will vote on motions to approve several educational agreements and personnel items, and will hear the first reading of several policies, including extracurricular participation by home education students.
