MARION CENTER – 12, HOMER-CENTER – 8
Landin Bennett strung together a 3-for-5 performance at the plate with 3 RBIs to help the Marion Center Stingers defeat the Homer-Center Wildcats on Friday in Heritage Conference action.
Homer-Center had an 8-7 lead after three innings, but the Stingers rallied back by mounting 5 runs in the final three innings to win. Bennett was helped by Ty Ryan, who went 2-for-4 with 3 runs on offense and struck out 8 Homer-Center hitters over 4.2 innings pitched.
Michael Krejocic and Andrew Ruddock each went 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Wildcats.
The Stingers move to 3-1 on the season, while the Wildcats fall to 1-3.
UNITED – 12, PURCHASE LINE – 3
Wade Plowman and Ben T in Heritage Conference actionomb collected multi-hit performances to help the United Lions beat the Purchase Line Red Dragons on Friday. Both Plowman and Tomb went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs and Hunter Cameron went 1-for-3 with a double and 3 stolen bases.
Mason Gearhart tallied a triple and an RBI for Purchase Line, while Levi Kephart collected a hit.
United moves to 3-1 and Purchase Line moves to 1-3 on the season.
INDIANA – 5, CLEARFIELD – 5
Despite collecting 10 hits, the Indiana Little Indians tied with Clearfield on Friday in a non-conference game for the WPIAL team.
Gavin Homer and Lincoln Trusal each went 2-for-4 at the plate and combined for 3 RBIs. Steven Budash threw three shutout innings in relief and struck out 4 batters. Austin Homer drove in the tying run in the top of the seventh inning on a pinch-hit single.
Indiana will face Highlands at home on Monday.
PORTAGE – 7, NORTHERN CAMBRIA – 2
In the second day of the Curve Classic in Altoona, Portage jumped out to 5 runs in the second and third innings while limiting the Colts to 2 total runs to beat them, 7-2, in a non-conference game for Northern Cambria.

The Bobcats jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the third inning and added two more in the sixth to hold on to beat the Penns Manor Comets on Friday in Heritage Conference action.
Hannah Foust struck out 13 hitters in her third complete game of the season. She would walk just 4 hitters and allowed just 3 hits. Isabel Pynos, Kirsten Smith and Madison Stutzman came across to score in the game.
Anna Peterman went 1-for-3 with a double in the game while Hannah Sturgeon drew two walks.
Blairsville moves to 3-0 on the season while Penns Manor holds an even 2-2 record.
INDIANA – 5, CAMBRIA HEIGHTS – 4
Olivia Zimmerman and Ashlyn Winslow combined for 4 RBIs to help the Little Indians defeat the Highlanders on Friday in a non-conference game for Indiana.
Indiana took a 3-2 lead after 3 innings, but Cambria Heights would tie it in the fourth. The Little Indians drove in two runs in the fifth to help seal the win. Zimmerman also got the win on the mound by pitching a complete game. She held Cambria Heights to 2 earned runs and she struck out 11 hitters.
The win moves Indiana to 2-1 on the year. They will face Highlands on Saturday.
