On Tuesday Night, the Blairsville-Saltsburg School Board continued to hear concerns on the proposed reconfiguration and the proposed Southern Indiana STEAM Academy.
Concerns ranged from the cost of reconfigurations to the lengthy trip students would have to make. When it came to specifics about the costs of the reconfiguration, Board President Rick Harper said that much of the financial details were discussed in public during the committee meetings.
In other business, the board approved the Blairsville-Saltsburg Middle-High School Media Center, which will be located at the Blairsville campus. The Library will be renovated to include a TV and Recording Studio, media center and coffee bar that will be run by special needs students. The board also approved a contract with Commonplace Coffee to supply materials for the coffee bar at a cost of $17,365.
