The Pirates have signed infielder Todd Frazier to a minor-league deal, with incentives should he make the team.
Frazier, a two-time all-star, has a career .242 batting average with 242 career home runs in 10 major league seasons with the Cinciatti Reds, Chicago White Sox, Texas Rangers, New York Yankees and two runs with the New York Mets. Last season, Frazier’s batting average was .236 with nine doubles, a triple, four homers and 12 RBIs when he played for the Mets and the Rangers.
Should Frazier make the big leagues, he will earn $1.5 million. The agreement is pending a physical.
