The State House Appropriations Committee and the Education Committee will hold a hearing on Tuesday for an update on the State System of Higher Education’s State System Redesign.
Chancellor Dan Greenstein told the State System Board of Governors last week the preliminary plans to integrate six universities into two will be ready by April and will be subject to a 60-day public comment period, with final plans put up for a board vote in July. The first cohort of students to enroll in an integrated university would be in the fall semester of 2022.
Tuesday’s hearing will be available on the Representative Jim Struzzi’s website, www.repstruzzi.com. Struzzi is a member of the Appropriations Committee.
