Another meeting has been scheduled for next week to discuss the future of the former Murphy lot in Blairsville.
The meeting will be held on Zoom video chat on Wednesday, January 20th at 6:00 PM, and will serve as a final opportunity for the public to provide feedback on the project before the report is drafted by the Blairsville Community Development Authority and the Indiana County Office of Planning and Development. Virtual meetings have been held over the last few months to work on how the former home of the Murphy building will be used.
A requirement of some of the money that was used to tear down the Murphy building is that the lot must sit as a “green space” for the next seven years. The meetings over the last few months have been to discuss the lot’s short- and long-term future.
